Wire Flame Spray
Typical wire flame spray coatings

  • Stainless steel (AISI 420)
  • Nickel alloys
  • Molybdenum
  • Copper alloys
  • Aluminium, Zinc, Al/Zn alloys

Wire Flame Spray Main Applications

  • Wear resistance
  • Traction coatings
  • Anti-corrosion TSA Thermal Spray Aluminium
  • Rebuilding worn shafts

What is flame wire spray?
Wire flame spraying is a combustion process. This Oxygen and fuel (propane or acetylene) flame melts the metal wire.  Compressed air atomizes the molten metal and propels the particles onto the substrate.

 Flame Spray with Powder
Typical coatings of flame spray with powder

  • Self-fluxing alloys (fusing)
  • Iron based alloys
  • Nickel based alloys
  • Ceramics & Cermets
  • Abradables

Main applications of flame spray with powder

  • Wear resistance
  • Corrosion protection
  • Chemical resistance
  • Dimensional restoration

What is flame powder spray?
The Powder Flame Spray process uses powder in an oxy-fuel flame. Powder flame has a very broad range of coating materials, including: nickel self-fluxing alloys and even ceramic materials.

The feed stock material to be sprayed is fed into the flame in the form of a powder to melt and the thermal expansion of the combustion is then used to atomize and accelerate the particles onto the substrate.
